I just couldn’t wait to write about the wedding of Shelley and Eddie, I honestly don’t think I have ever laughed so much in one morning! My stomach was sore leaving!
When I first met Shelley for her bridal trial, she casually mentioned that her bride tribe “loved the craic.” However, I never imagined when I showed up that morning that myself and the lovely Hair by Kellyann Jackson would have to wake them out of bed, including one bridesmaid sleeping peacefully in a car outside from the night before! It was definitely a first for me, however these ladies were all full of life, ready and excited for the big day ahead. It wasn’t too long before myself and Kellyann had the girls pinned on seats looking fab.
Shelley couldn’t have asked for a nicer day, with that Saturday being the hottest of the year so far. The wedding day was planned to perfection, with a garden tea party organised, including games and a traditional ice cream van. It really did give guests plenty to talk about, whilst also providing a great opportunity to mingle.
In terms of her bridal look, Shelley opted for soft, natural makeup with a pop of colour on the lip to compliment her skin tone and hair colour. The look we chose complimented her Badgley Mischka designer dress which she got from Petticoat Lane. Kellyann styled Shelley’s hair with a loose side plait with gyp intertwined, to add softness to the overall look.
In such warm weather (up to 26 degrees) it was important that Shelley’s makeup was well set and matte as much as possible. Laura Mercier Translucent Powder, Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray and Embryolisse Hydra Mat definitely came in handy on this occasion.
Shelley’s bridesmaids wore navy wrap dresses by LuLus (also from Petticoat Lane), with a gold sequined maxi slip underneath to add a little glamour and elegance. Statement pieces of jewellery by Stella and Dot completed the look.
Check out a few choice photos from the fab Laurence from Snappitt Photography! I think you will agree that these candid shots speak for themselves, highlighting the relaxed atmosphere, lively entertainment, and wonderful smiling faces all round.
It was an absolute pleasure to be part of this wedding and I have to thank Shelley and Eddie for having me! Best wishes to you and Eddie for the future.
Love, Sinead x
