So tonight is the night that I will be getting the glad rags on and heading to the Titanic Hotel for the first year of Northern Ireland’s Make-Up & Beauty Awards 2019. I was absolutely delighted to find out that I had been nominated and even more thrilled to find out I had made it as one of the finalists in the Bridal Make-up category.
The launch of the NI Make-Up & Beauty Awards honours the exemplary work within the make-up and beauty industry across sectors including make-up artistry, beauty salons, beauticians, online influencers, nail technicians and much more. Since it is a black tie event I have my dress picked (long black velvet off shoulder by Biba), and the lovely Deborah K of Deborah K Design has let me borrow some of her headpieces and jewellery to add a little sparkle! Catherine from Pro Hair is on hair duty and also coming along to support myself and the extremely talented Stacey from SAK Designs who is also a finalist in the same category. With girl company and champagne the night could get messy!
If you have been following the awards you will know that the lovely Grainne McCoy is hosting the event but also being doing a lot of behind the scenes work including getting some fab goody bags for everyone attending. I’ll be showing these off tomorrow on social media, with sponsors including Charlotte Tilbury, Laura Mercier, Bperfect, Max Factor, Jack Murphy Jewellers Newry and Gordon’s Chemists.
With that being said – I’m away to start beautifying myself as every girl knows it can take nearly half the day! Wish me luck and if you want in on some of the action keep your eyes peeled across Facebook and Instagram, where I’m sure you will see and hear all the antics of the night!
